I'm back to exploring alternatives to a career in law firm.
In this post I'm going to explore one of least obvious alternative. Have you heard about the Department of Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the Indian Army?
Judge Advocate General's Department celebrating its XVII Corps Day
How to apply and the selection criteria?
Check out for the Forms that are advertised on paper. You can check out the 2011 call for application form out here.
The initial screening is done by Recruting Directorate, Army Headquarter. After the initial shortlisting, the candidates are supposed to appear at the Service Selection Board where they undergo two stage selection process
The candidates are supposed to clear psychological aptitude test and interview. Once a candidate clear the exam, he needs to pass the medical examination. And then you are into Judicial Advocate General department.
Any other requirement?
Just the documents (like Matriculation certificate etc.) and 55% marks in your LL.B degree.
